With great sadness we announce the passing of our dearest Mary of Montreal, Quebec, born in Hutka, Slovakia to Joseph and Helen (née Giba). Mary passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 20th. She was 97. Mary was strong, sweet, and full of style. She loved travelling, gardening, her church community and her family. Mary was independent and inspiring. She worked at a time when many women stayed home, raising and providing for her young family. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children Marilyn (Wayne) and Elyn. Proud grandmother to Tyler and Taryn (Chris) and great grandmother to Elowyn. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister Anne and nephews Bill and Jim. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
