Dear Chantal, David and family,
I want to express my deepest sympathies to you in this difficult time. If you do not remember me, I was Mabel's neighbour (Darina & Sergey's daughter). Mabel would take me to high school everyday for a few years, which made us develop such a special bond. Mabel was and will continue to live on as such a special person in my life. I love her and consider her as a close friend despite our big age gap. Mabel was such a compassionate, comforting, funny, young-spirited and beautiful human inside-out. One of my favorite memories with her is being in the car on the way home from school, gossiping about my crushes when I was 15 years old. When I turned 25, we still did the same thing! She always told me she loved to "live vicariously through me". There is no one else I felt comfortable sharing so much about, than her. She always gave me such great advice, that I remember to this day. I am so happy that I was able to see her recently, in June, and catch up with her. Our conversations could last hours, yet I never saw the time go by. Mabel would always speak so highly about her family, especially about you - Chantal, David and her dear grand children whom she was always so amazed by. She kept telling me that "Athena is so smart and advanced for her age". I could feel how much she loved you all. Chantal, I remember your mom telling me how proud of you she was. She always spoke so highly about your achievements in your career. It's been over 10 years, yet I still remember this because I was amazed at how much a mother admired her daughter.
I know no amount of words can ease your pain, but I hope my message can bring a bit of light to you, knowing that your mom was loved and considered such a special person to me. She was able to touch my life to such extent. I have so many beautiful memories with her that I will cherish forever and remember her by.
I will miss her so very much. May she continue to live on in our hearts, forever.
With lots of love and support, Sophie
My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. May God give you the peace that you seek.. SIP Mabel with God and his Angels. You will be missed. .
