In 1959, at the tender age of 19 she immigrated from Pardali, Lakonia Greece to Montreal. She was introduced to the man she would be wedded to for the next 63 years up until her last breath, through a photo and married him in blind trust. This turned out to be the biggest love story and their love for each other touched all who met them. They never failed each other and taught their daughters by example to love through the storms, because they all come to pass. She built a beautiful life with her husband and daughters. She was the backbone of the family and raised her daughters to be strong, kind and independant. She will forever be remembered for her love of cooking. Her grandchildren will remember her dolmades, pourra and pastichio that she lovingly and tirelessly prepared for them. Her love of cooking extended to all her family that she enjoyed having over regularly for meals and celebrations. A passionate gardener, she would spend countless hours catering to her flowers, herbs and vegetables, a gift she has passed on to her grandchildren.
She was selfless in taking care of her husband and daughters, sacrificing all to meet their needs in all their endeavors. She was the glue that held their life together, and in all that they succeeded in doing to give their family the best life possible . She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with a great selflessness and spent endless hours enjoying them.
She served on many Greek charities serving her community. She had a soft heart for the wounded, empathizing with their situations. Her love for animals and birds was immense, and she treated them with love and respect. She touched everyone she met and her smile lit up the room. Each person who met her, loved her instantly and she made each one feel important and loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
