It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward Davidson. He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and passed away on November 17, 2023 at the age of 85.
He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Plover. He leaves to mourn his two beloved sons Tyler (Anna) and Jason (Kristina), grandchildren Lia, Erika and Victor as well as a loving brother-in-law to Dorothy (Walter Kibzey), extended family, and friends. Edward Davidson was a longstanding proud member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 89 and retired employee from Schindler Elevators, and counted many of his fellow colleagues and members as good friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Edward Davidson was an exceptional gentleman who will always be an inspiration to us all. His love of life, sensibility, simplicity and generosity are the qualities and attributes that personify him to those who knew and loved him.
Edward’s passion was duck hunting with his sons and gardening. He felt a deep attachment to each and every person with whom he interacted. He was an intelligent, compassionate man of action and integrity with a generous spirit always willing to help everybody.
Heartfelt thanks for the assistance that he received during this past year from the staff and caregivers at the Centre d’accueil Marcelle-Ferron in Brossard and to Edward and Dorothy’s neighbors and friends for their kindness, prayers and support.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, November 27th, 2023 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, followed by a “Celebration of Life Tribute” at 2:00 PM, at the Mount Royal Cemetery and Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, Québec H2V 2P9.
