Jean-Pierre Isaac

1956 - 2024

The family of Jean-Pierre Isaac is heartbroken to announce his passing on February 28, 2024 at 68 years of age.

Originally from Belgium, Jean-Pierre built his career in Montreal as a bilingual songwriter, composer, and music producer. With his experience on multiple instruments (guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and percussions, and vocals), and after touring with his band and working as a DJ, Jean-Pierre became known as a hit maker on the Quebec music scene.

His contributions to music and his national and international success earned him numerous awards. Well-known for his multi-disciplinary talent, Jean-Pierre wrote and produced music for artists including Mitsou, Les BB, Céline Dion, Cindy Daniel, Kathleen Sergerie, Marie Carmen, Mario Pelchat, Judith Bérard, Gilbert Montagné, among many others. His talent was surpassed only by his gentle and generous heart.

He continued to produce music in his home studio surrounded by his loving family, happy to pursue this passion for the rest of his life - a life cut short by a devastating illness which he confronted with great courage.

He is survived by his spouse (Joanne), daughter (Charlotte), brother (Christian), sister (Rose-Marie), numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
