Caitlin MacDonald (a.k.a Cat)

Died peacefully in her sleep at Montreal Sunday, May 5, 2024. Predeceased by her grandmothers Emily MacDonald (nee Martin) and Patricia Milne (nee Monahan) and her father, Christopher and her mother, Patricia.

Beloved niece to Margaret, Monty (Marie), Charlene, and John (Carmen).

Cousin to Michèle (Guillaume) and Stéphanie (Fred Erik).

Second cousin to Tristan and Cassia; and Liam Erik and Ella Kristine.

Merci mille fois to family friend, Dominique (Alain) for her compassion and generosity of spirit.

We will miss Caitlin’s quiet and caring demeanor and adventurous spirit. She loved to travel and mostly on her own to historical places and in particular she felt a spiritual attraction to New Orleans which she visited many times. Caitlin was an avid reader from scripture to horror stories and her spiritual nature was influenced by the Religious Studies department and the professors she met at Concordia. Wrestling became another interest introduced to her through the Physical Education department at Vanier College taught by a teacher who could make the boys cry but not the Cat. She could play piano and guitar but got sidetracked and instead became a devoted heavy mental fan. She was our star!

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. Adieu our precious, Caitlin, and now you’ll be walking among the stars with your cherished mother.

We celebrate Caitlin, a visitation will be held on Friday, May 24 from 1 to 9 PM at Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella).

Plant perennials, or support bird-animal sanctuaries or a charity in her name, if you wish to do so, or go on a trip and have a great time and laissez les bons temps rouler!
