With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mr. Daniel Di Lauro on March 5th, 2025, in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue at the age of 96.
Daniel was the loving husband of the late Rita Di Paolo, a devoted father to his daughters Nadia (Brad) and Lisa (Frank), and a proud grandfather to Lucca (Nadia) and Ariana. He was a wonderful brother, cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a loyal friend. As the last surviving member of his family of 13 siblings, his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Daniel was known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand. He was everyone's favorite neighbor, always ready to offer support and brighten the day with his smile. He was also passionate about music and had a hidden talent for drawing and sketching. A true craftsman and dedicated gardener, Daniel found great joy in working outdoors and took immense pride in his surroundings. His warm smile, generous spirit, and compassionate soul will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He touched the lives of many, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Résidence Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, especially Cathy, Laurie, and Mercy, for their exceptional care and compassion. Their kindness and dedication were a great comfort to Dad, and we are forever grateful for their support.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be a meaningful way to honor Daniel's memory.
The family will receive condolences on March 15, 2025, at the Urgel Bourgie complex, located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue, Mont-Royal, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, as well as on March 16 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A tribute ceremony will follow at the same location.
