Elisabeth (nee Kavadias) FOKOEFS 1923 – 2025

Loving wife of George Fokaefs (Fokoefs) and devoted mother to Costa and Magda. Passed away in Montreal on March 24 2025 at the age of one hundred and one. Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, where she arrived with her family in Canada in 1966, was predeceased by her brother Yianni Kavadias.

She was dedicated to her family and generous to her many friends. A woman of strength, optimism and always with a warm smile, she will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Natasha, Alexander, Helen, Sofia, John, Steven, Diana, Leigh-Anne, and great grand child Samantha, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Many thanks to the team of doctors and nurses at the Royal Victoria Hospital for their professional and compassionate care.

Immeasurable gratitude to the staff at Centre d'hébergement de Saint-Henri. Their gentle and kind-hearted disposition will never be forgotten. Special thanks to our friend Stella Pouliezos for her attentiveness.

on Sunday, March 30th, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.              Valet parking available.

Funeral will be held at St. Dionysios Orthodox Church (7707 Lasalle Blvd., Lasalle)

On Monday March 31st, 2025, at 10a.m followed by the Burial at Mount-Royal cemetery. After the church service coffee will be served in the church hall.
