It is with great sadness to announce that Ellen Botto, at age 93, passed away on Saturday, April 19. Ellen was born in Montreal to John and Ludmilla Botto in 1931.  Now she has reunited with them and her sister Olga Skrivanic in heaven.  

 Ellen was raised and educated in Montreal.  After graduating from McGill University, she proudly worked as a social worker for the elderly until retirement.   As an adult, Ellen got the travel bug and traveled all around the world whenever she could. 

 Throughout her life Ellen found comfort at the Slovak Ascension Lutheran church.  Her family were original members so there’s lots of history.  She loved volunteering at the church as well. She will be greatly missed.

 Lastly she leaves behind her mourning nephew, Robert Skrivanic, his wife Karen Uthe, and children Julia and Lily.  

A service in her honor will take place on Saturday May 3rd at 9AM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1865 Jarry Street West, Montreal, Qc.
