It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppe Stefano Panichella on July 30, 2023 after a short and courageous battle with Neuroendocrine cancer. Giuseppe (Joe) is survived by his loving parents Antonio and Cristina Panichella, his brother Anthony (Rosa) and his sister Rosanna (Franco). He will be greatly missed by his nephew and nieces (Alessio, Simona, Adriana, and Mikaela).

We lost Joe too soon, but his memory lives on as a warm, kind, compassionate, and generous individual. He had a passion for travel and food; and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

We would also like to acknowledge his many great friends who stood by him and were there in those final months.

Our heartfelt thanks goes out to the staff of the Lachine Hospital – Palliative Care unit for their professionalism and great care.

The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie-Athos LaSalle (1275 Dollard, LaSalle) on Friday August 4, 2023 from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St John Bosco Church (2510 Springland, Montreal) on Saturday August 5, 2023 at 11:00 am. The burial will take place on Monday August 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (CNETS.CA) would be appreciated.
