Ramzi Antwan
1937 - 2024
Ramzi Antwan, a beloved teacher and passionate lover of language, culture, music, film, and art, passed away on September 1 at the age of 86.
Born into a large Iraqi family of 12 children, Ramzi dedicated his life to education and the pursuit of knowledge, inspiring countless students during his lifelong career as a teacher of English as a second language. He was filled with curiosity about the world, which made him great company and an even better conversationalist.
Ramzi is survived by his siblings Neil, Janette, and Nadir; his ex-wife Yolanda; his daughter Vesna and her partner Joseph; and his cherished grandson, Safi. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and all those whose lives he enriched.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial serviced to be held at St. Ignatius of Loyola, 4455 West Broadway, Montréal, QC H4B 2A7 on September 28, 2024 at 11:00 am.
