Having fought a brave and valiant battle, Kathy peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. 

Kathy will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Johnny, her children Nathan (Sarah) and Hayley, her beloved grandson Lochlan, and “third child” and niece Victoria. Her mother Wendy (Aurele), sister and best friend Angela (Alex), brothers Greg, and Chris. Her mother-in-law Kata, sister-in-law Kristina (Patrick, Julia, Nicholas), brother-in-law Josip (Marie-Michelle, William, Audrik, James), aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

Kathy lived her life taking care of the people she loved. Her devotion to her family was unparalleled. She was a second mother to many. If you were fortunate enough to be part of her circle, she had your back. That’s just who she was. 

In every situation, Kathy was, to say the least… Enthusiastic.

Whether she was sitting in her kayak fishing in the rain, picking the 4000th dandelion out of her perfectly kept gardens, or yelling at the movie screen to protect her favourite superhero, (she is the true superhero); she did so passionately with a smile that emanated from her soul. By embodying positivity and authenticity in everything she did, Kathy inspired each of us to embrace these qualities in our own lives.

We are at peace knowing that she is wandering the beach, with her jeans rolled up, searching for that perfect shell with her soul dog Kooper running by her side.

We are profoundly grateful to the dedicated medical professionals at the MUHC & the CLSC of Chateauguay who provided compassionate care to Kathy and Johnny. A special mention to her pivot nurse Rachel, who Kathy referred to as her guardian angel.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm and from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at:

A Celebration of life will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm.
