D'Amico

1957 - 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Juana D’Amico on March 7, 2025, in Valleyfield, Quebec. Born in September 1957 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she moved to Montreal at 16 and later attended McGill University. Juana balanced her family life with a passionate career in real estate, where she found immense satisfaction in helping newcomers to Montreal find their first homes. She was a devoted wife and mother, always keeping her heart and home open to others. Throughout her decade-long battle with Alzheimer’s, she remained kind, generous, and cheerful.

Juana D'Amico

Among Juana’s many joys were dancing, travel, painting, and cooking—expressions of her warmth and creativity that family and friends will always remember. In everything she did, whether at work or at home, she showed genuine kindness and thoughtfulness, leaving a legacy of open-hearted hospitality.

Juana is survived by her loving spouse, Charles Marois, her sons Alejandro (father of Sebastian and Cecilia Del Balso), Eduardo (with wife Lauren Muszynski, parents of Mateo Del Balso), and Adrian (married to Abigail Wyant), as well as her sister, Magdalena D’Amico (married to Antonio Ottaviano, with children Lorena and Lisa), and stepdaughter, Annie Forcier. She loved her family and cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Charles for his devoted care, as well as the CHSLD Docteur-Aimé-Leduc for their compassionate support in her final days.

May we honor Juana by carrying on her welcoming spirit, her love of sharing food and laughter, and the gentle kindness she showed to everyone she knew.
