It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Maxime Cloutier on May 16, 2025. He is survived by his children Zacharie and Noah, his spouse Geneviève Cantin (her children Nicolas, Alexandre, and Charles), his mother Françoise Giroux, his ex-spouse Diana Bastilla, his aunts Madeleine, Denise Élisabeth Cloutier, and Ginette Perreault, his uncle Louis Giroux, as well as other relatives, friends, and colleagues at KRB lawyers.

Maxime was an exceptional lawyer who left a lasting impression on those he knew with his keen intellect, kindness and humanity. He mentored several generations of lawyers specializing in mergers and acquisitions law. He was also passionate about football, a sport he played throughout his youth. He will be deeply missed.

The family will receive condolences in chapel on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at the Mont-Royal Funeral Complex (1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, Qc) followed by a ceremony at 4:00 pm. There will then be a reception in his memory from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
