Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, mentor and friend, Noreen McNeal, passed away with family by her side on August 9th, 2023.

Widow of Clive, her husband of 52 years, she will be lovingly remembered by her children Cordelia and Petra; grandchildren N’Yah and Darius; siblings Adina, Ann, Cecily, Margaret, Timothy and Vincent; son-in-law Junior; and numerous other treasured family members and friends.

Throughout her lifetime, Noreen would be instrumental in introducing many youths, in the black community, to her beloved Netball. Noreen’s love of the sport was instilled in her as a young woman, growing up in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. She would carry that love with her to Canada where she was a founding member of The Hairoun Netball Club, and an integral member of the Quebec Amateur Netball Federation (QANF), serving as a coach and a tournament director.

The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie/Athos, 3955 Cote de Liesse on Tuesday August 29th, 2023. All events will take place on site at the complex. The viewing will be from 11:00am-1:00pm. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel starting at 1:30pm. An interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Sincere thanks for the compassion, support and care given to our mother from the Geriatric and Palliative Care teams, at the Jewish General Hospital.
