Avis de décès
Louise-Marie Saulnier (née Comeau)
1942 - 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Marie Comeau Saulnier, who left us peacefully on April 17, 2025 at the age of 83. Born on March 21, 1942, in Meteghan River, Nova Scotia. Louise was the beloved daughter of Alphee and Geraldine Comeau and one of four siblings. She is predeceased by her brother Paul and sister Lucille and survived by her sister Corinne.
She graduated from Clare District High School in 1960 and moved to Halifax. On April 11, 1966, Louise married Joseph Hubert Saulnier. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in love, laughter, and family in Montreal. Louise was the proud mother of four children: Real (Sonja), Giselle (Peter), Daniel, and Eric (Alison). Her heart expanded further as she welcomed seven adored grandchildren into her life: Rebecca, Teigan, Chloe, Syndeay, Oliver, Logan, and Charlotte. She is lovingly remembered and cherished by her large extended family and many dear friends.
Louise had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her home, always full of warmth, was the heart of the family, a place where laughter was shared and her unforgettable meals brought everyone to the table. She was an exceptional cook, and her kitchen was the setting for countless memories. She was an avid quilter, creating beautiful works of art stitched with love and enjoyed line dancing with her friends. Louise loved to travel with her family, tasting new foods and learning about different cultures with memorable trips throughout North America and Europe.
Louise was a caregiver by nature, she found her greatest joy in offering comfort, support, and kindness to those around her. Whether it was her husband, children, grandchildren, friends, or even a stranger in need, Louise’s first instinct was always to give, to nurture, and to make life a little brighter for someone else.
Louise will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, a compassionate friend, and a woman who gave selflessly to all who knew her. Her spirit, strength, and kindness touched many and will continue to do so through the lives of those she loved.
A celebration of her life will be held on April 24 2025 at Belvedere Funeral Complex in Senneville, and a mass on May 2nd 2025 at L’Eglise Sacre Coeur in Saulnierville, Nova Scotia.
She will be missed deeply and remembered always.
