Obituary
Donald Walker
1942 - 2025
In loving memory of Mr. Donald Notova Walker.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Donald Notova Walker, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, great-grandfather, and beloved brother. On May 20th, 2025, Donald left this world as peacefully as he lived, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith.
Donald Notova Walker was the first son born to Mrs. Rubena Kerr and Mr. Raphael Walker on Thursday, September 17, 1942, in Bartons, St. Catherine, Jamaica.
Donald spent his early years with his grandmother in Bartons, St. Catherine, and later moved to Spanish Town to live with his mother, sister, and extended family.
He immigrated to Canada in September 1992, where he continued his education and joined the workforce. Donald was an ambitious, hard-working, and conscientious man. He completed his studies at Professional Driving School and graduated in August 1993 in Montreal, Quebec. He was gainfully employed at Esposito Foods Ltd from September 1993 until his retirement in December 2022.
A devoted husband, Donald and his wife, Novelette Smith Walker, shared a marriage of 32 years—a testament to enduring love and deep faith. Together, they built a home that always had an open door and welcoming arms for family and friends.
Donald had a deep love for people, trucking, food, and music. He had a unique ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. Kind, loving, and gentle, he was a natural peacemaker and a loyal friend to many.
He leaves behind to mourn: his wife, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, extended family, friends, and a community who will deeply miss him. Donald was predeceased by his mother, father, and one brother.
Donald will be missed, always remembered in our thoughts, and forever held in our hearts
