Andrée Lafontaine left us peacefully on the evening of December 2, 2024. Born in the summer of 1933, the eldest daughter of Jules and Anna shared the sunshine and the joy of living until her last breath. An innovative teacher and director, passionate about words and beaches, she spent her last years close to her nephew at the Robert-Cliche Center, where their care made her happy. “Dédé” leaves us with the memory of her love and her humour. Family and friends are invited to say goodbye between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., with a celebration at 4 p.m. on December 19, 2024 at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Décarie Blvd., Montreal, Quebec, H3W 3C4 (valet parking on site). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fédération Québécoise des Sociétés Alzheimer or the Fondation du Dr Julien would be appreciated.
