Caracas, January 2, 1939 – Montreal, December 13, 2024
Ligia—Poison, Margot, Mom, Old Lady, Comadre, Mother-in-law, Grandma, Lilí—today, we deeply miss your voice, mischievous glances, warm hugs, sage advice, sharp wit, and boundless wisdom.
You are cherished by your sons: Jacinto, Domingo José, Juvenal (Catire), Jesús Enrique (Chucho), and Abraham; your daughters-in-law: Michele, Indira, María Paula, Natalie, Jenny, Olga, María Gabriela, and Angela; and your grandchildren: Camila, Cecilia, Sara, María Victoria, Sophie, Thomas, Mathias, Daniel, Samuel, and Carlo. Your siblings, Trina and Adolfredo; your nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, godchildren, and other relatives, friends, colleagues, and neighbors join in this remembrance.
Amid the tenderness and poignancy of this loss, we come together to celebrate an extraordinary life filled with love, joy, and unwavering devotion. Ligia embodied the highest values a human being can aspire to. She lived with integrity, commitment, intelligence, humor, and above all, an abundance of love.
We are profoundly grateful to have shared in your life, your kisses, your songs, your hugs, your scoldings, your wisdom, and your cherished companionship.
Goodbye.
