Vannicola Igina (nee Canci)

May 24, 1929- Jan. 18, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother after a brief illness fought with courage and grace at the age of 95.

Beloved mother of Fiorino (Wanda), Maria, John (Pina) and Anna (Joe).

Much adored grandmother and great-grandmother of Vanessa(Derek), Adam (Christine), Victoria (Max), Elizabeth Ann, Vincenzo (Suzie), Sofia, Stefania, Dante, Mia and Julianna.

Daughter of the late Battista and  Carolina Canci. She was predeceased by her loving husband Vincenzo Vannicola and her sisters  Angela, Linda, Giovanna, Rosalina. She will be deeply missed by her sisters  Aida, Emma, Tecla, her brother John, her sister-in-law Emedia, as well as numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Special thank you to loving neighbours Angela and Joe, Santina, Pino and Pina (Miami, Florida).

The family wishes  to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Thomas de Gabory and staff at the Jewish General Hospital palliative care unit for their exceptional care and spiritual guidance.

Visitation at the Kane Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie (corner Isabella) on Monday, January 27 from 12 pm to 5 pm and 6 pm to 10 pm (valet parking) and Tuesday January 28 from 9 am to 11 am.  Funeral Mass at St. Raymond de Pennafort Church 5765 St-Jacques, on Tuesday, January 28 at 11:30 am.
