Teresa Molino (Vincelli)

December 23, 1923-January 30, 2025

Teresa, affectionately known as Nonna to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, passed away on January 30, 2025.  Lucid to the end, and surrounded by loved ones, she died peacefully in her sleep, in her own home at the age of 101.  She will be terribly missed. Teresa was an extraordinary individual and an exemplary mother who embodied the qualities of unconditional love, gratitude, and strength of spirit.  As the beloved matriarch of the Molino family, she dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing home.

Born in Casacalenda, Italy in 1923, she immigrated to Montreal in 1949 with her husband and growing family.  Widowed unexpectedly at the age of 39, Teresa was left to raise 4 children whom she supported and encouraged unwaveringly for her entire life.  She was a beacon of strength, wisdom and love.

Teresa was predeceased by her husband, Rocco, her sister Tina and her son Peter (Julie).  She is survived by her sons Andy (Jane) and Joseph (Zwanny) and daughter Connie (Nick) Primiano, as well as 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Teresa summarized her outlook on life quite accurately when she was interviewed by CTV News on the occasion of her 100th birthday.  In response to the interviewer’s question regarding her longevity, she responded, quite accurately, that “everybody loves me”. She was a remarkable woman of strong faith who loved life, family, community and Chinese food.

The family will receive condolences on February 10, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m. and on February 11, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie funeral complex located at 1275 avenue Dollard, Lasalle, Québec, H8N 2J1.

The funeral will take place in the complex chapel on February 11, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. followed by the burial at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery.
