Margaret Mapp

1940 - 2025

Margaret Mapp passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, surrounded by the "hearts" of her life—her family—just as she would have wanted.

Margaret's life can be best described by four words: Family, Friendship, Faith, and Forever. She was the rock of her family, always bringing everyone together. Her friends were her family, and she was always there to lend an ear, share a laugh, and offer her honest opinion. Her faith was strong and loving, and she shared that with everyone in her life. For Margaret, being part of her world meant forever, and that made you one of the lucky ones.

Born in St. Vincent and raised in the warm sun of Trinidad and Tobago, Margaret ventured to Montreal in the 1960s and never looked back. She built a vibrant life here, surrounded by her loved ones.

Margaret leaves behind five devoted sons: Junior, Jerry, Ron, Derrick, and Brian; ten cherished grandchildren: Marcia, Dominique, Naomie, Keishah, Kiara, Kai, Nubia, Devon, Kohl, and Neena; and one great-grandson, Kayden. She is also survived by many other beloved family members and friends.

Her passing leaves an unfillable void in all of our lives, but our memories of her unwavering love will live on forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather in Margaret’s memory on Saturday, February 8 , from 10:00 to 12:00 a.m., with a service from from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., at the Kane Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Décarie Blvd. Montréal, H3W 3C4, Parking available on site and in surrounding streets.
