M. Basile Charaoui

1939 - 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Basile Alain Hubert Charaoui, who passed away peacefully in Montreal on April 29, 2025, surrounded by his family. 
Son of the late Adel Charaoui and Olga Sikias, he is survived by his beloved wife Benita Marie Kaikaty. As well as his children: Chantal (Abdel Massih Zarif), Cynthia (late Khatchig Karabajakian) and Adel Didier (Caroline Mardeni). 
Jeddo Basile will be dearly missed by his grandchildren: Philippe Zarif (Viane Moussa), Patrick and Christian Zarif, Andy, Isabelle and Alec Karabajakian, Stephanie and Anna Benita Charaoui. 
Basile is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Lucien (Aimée Abdelnour), Hoda (the late Samir Chebli), Samira (the late Anibal Moumdjian), Pierre (Anne Marie Lestang) and Paul (Rose Kaough). 

He is survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: the late Ralda, Vania (the late Edgard Bakhache), Gaby (the late Magda Chambert), Andrée (Pierre Lazareff) and Marie-Josée (Fares Ghandour).
The Zarif, Karabajakian, Mardeni, Assouad, Samman, Sikias, Neayem and Khayat families.
Mr. Charaoui is survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends in many countries. 

The family will receive condolences Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 11 a.m., at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Church, 9501 boul Gouin Ouest, Pierrefonds. 
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the same address, followed by burial at Jardin Urgel Bourgie, 2500 Ave des Perron, Laval. 

The family will receive your sympathies from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex located at 3955 Chemin de la Côte de Liesse, Saint Laurent. 
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Parish would be appreciated.
