It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Maria Helena Galvao, aged 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 4 2025 surrounded by her family.

A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, mother in law and aunt, Helena had the biggest heart full of love and the biggest smile that would make anyone fall in love with her. 

Helena was always the happiest and full of joy when spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her memory will live on through: Husband Antonio Praticante, Children Ana Patricia (Matthieu), Tony Brian Praticante, Grand Children Eva Briana, Ryan Tiago and James Mateo. Brothers Maximino (Ester), Cipriano, sister-in-law Conceicao Galvao. Preceded by parents, Luis and Madalena Galvao, brothers Jose Galvao, Dioniso Galvao, Avelino Galvao, all nieces and nephews and their children as well as many friends that she loved so much. Follow by the in-law Joao Praticante et Trindade Camara with nephews and nieces and their children. 

Viewing will be held at Memoria on Jean-Talon 1120 Rue Jean-Talon E, Montreal, QC H2R 1V9. From 2pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm on Friday May 9th 2025.

Funeral Will be held at 12pm on May 10th at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Montreal. 60 Rachel at W, Montreal Quebec H21 1G3.

Follow by a reception after the funeral at 16h-19h for all the family members and friends present at the funeral on Saturday at 3254 rue Bellechasse, Montreal.
