It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vasiliki Giannakakis (born Dionysopoulos), who died on May 3, 2025, in Montreal. She was the beloved wife of the late Panagiotis Giannakakis and the last surviving member of her siblings.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Steve (Mary), Tina (Anick), and Anastasia (Cary); her grandchildren, Vicky, Katy, Aleksi, Chrysoula, and Victoria; as well as her nieces and nephews, cousins, and many relatives and friends in Greece, Canada, and the USA.

The family will receive condolences at the Urgel Bourgie / Athos Funeral Complex, located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue, Town of Mount Royal, on May 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on May 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint George’s Cathedral, located at 2455 Côte-Sainte-Catherine Road, Montreal, QC H3T 1A8.
