But having been praying for all of you in all this, it has been a great pleasure to have been given a chance to know about Mike and what a great person he was. ‘Welldone good and faithful Mike, you’ve run the race and now you are home’. Thank you Michelle, Lashleys, Cannings and Gabby, Trevor and Alexia for sharing Mike with us.

We were very saddened to hear of Mike passing, and we would like you to know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. We watched the online service and the best way that we can describe Mike is that he was everyone’s angel on earth, living positively and inspiring so many family members and friends. Even when I was going through my cancer treatments and we meet Mike at the hospital, he didn’t want to talk about himself except to say everything was going great. He was too concerned with how I was doing and for me to believe that my faith would help me through it. He was an exceptional person and he will be dearly missed. Even just by listening to the eulogy and the tributes at the service you could feel/see the love from his nephews and nieces.

We express our sincere sympathy to you Kathleen and to your family. As we read in Revelation recently, we were impressed with 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on! Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them. Your brother left a great example and legacy. I worked with Mike for 10 years at Nortel back when I was fresh out of university. If there was one thing I remember about Mike it was his hearty laughter and his contagious smile. I was devastated to learn of this news just yesterday. A bright light put out too soon. My deepest condolences to the family.
