John McCambridge
1936 - 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our father Mr. John Patrick (Sonny) McCambridge in his 87th year. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia after 57 yrs.
He is survived by his sons Patrick (Mary), Michael (Lenny, Nonuccia, Joanne), Shawn (Becky), Barry (Tracey). He leaves behind many loving grandchildren Maxime, Connor, Cormac, Catherine, Vincent, Luca and Mikayla. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Patricia, Terry, Kevin, Irene and Bernie along with the late Kathleen, Brenda and Alice. He will be missed by several dear friends Sid, Mary Ann, Daniel, Brendan and Tim.
Dad was a former pipe insulator mechanic with many friends in the occupation and the Irish Community. He is a past member of the United Irish Societies and previous Deputy Marshall for many Parades. He took great Pride in his Irish Heritage. We will all miss him immensely.
Visitation are to be held at Urgel Bourgie Athos 1275 Dollard Ave in Ville LaSalle on the 15th of March from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. A mass will be held in the Chapel at 10 am on the 16th of March with a small reception to follow. The family wishes to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Verdun General Hospital especially the ICU staff for their wonderful compassionate care during Dad’s stay.
In lieu of flowers Donations may be made to The United Irish Societies or The Shriners Children’s Hospital.
