Jacynthe Geneviève McQuillan (née Chagnon) 1951-2024

After a long illness, Jacynthe passed away on November 15, 2024 in Montreal, Quebec. She is predeceased by her parents Blandine Robert and Gilles Chagnon of Acton Vale, Quebec, her sisters Michelle and France, as well as her brothers Rejean, Mario and Jocelyn.

She leaves blessed by her memory her beloved husband Terence J. McQuillan, his son James (Tsubasa Takayanagi), her brothers Daniel and Richard, her sisters Paulette, Camille, Diane, Claudine, Johanne and Marianne (Michel Martin), her sisters-in-law Elaine McQuillan Tobin and Pierrette Corriveau McQuillan (the late William McQuillan Jr.) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, friends and clients.

An accomplished legal secretary for more than 50 years, the last 25 of which she worked with her husband at their offices in Richelieu, Quebec, and more recently, in Kirkland, Quebec.

Jacynthe took pride in her flower gardens in Laval-sur-le-lac and Richelieu but above all she cared for all creatures great and small, especially stray and abandoned cats whom she fed on a daily basis and over the course of time, adopted 7 of them. Her last remaining pet, Tabitha, misses her terribly.

A visitation (10:30 AM to noon) followed by a celebration of her life will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Kane Fetterly, 5301 Boul. Decarie, Montreal, QC (H3W 3C4) www.kanefetterly.qc.ca

Interment will take place at a later date in the McQuillan Family plot in Côte-des-neiges Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to an animal rescue organization of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
