Thérèse Mureta, age 89, of Ottawa, Ontario (formerly from Gatineau, QC), passed

 away Monday, January 20, 2025, surrounded by her family and the caring staff of

Garden Terrace LTC Home.

Thérèse was a fun loving and generous women who always welcomed others with

her infectious smile. She was born October 21, 1935, in Ottawa, Ontario, the 

daughter of the late Peter Mureta and late Emilianna Paquin.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Hamelin, her sister Dolores Cossette,

brothers Aime Mureta, Robert Mureta and Paul Mureta.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Radmore (Allan), Anne Hamelin (John Said)

and two sons, Jean-Claude Hamelin and Denis Hamelin (Joanne Courchesne). 

She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Jonathan, Genevieve, Matthieu and 

Christian and 6 great grandchildren. She leaves many other family members and 

friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13th, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the

 Chapel of the Les Jardins du Souvenir, located at 75 Fournier Boulevard Fournier, Gatineau, QC. 

The family will be present to accept condolences starting at 1:15 pm.
