With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we share the passing of Lena Pauchuk Zozula, who gently left this world on May 4, 2025, just four days shy of her 100th birthday. Though she did not reach this milestone in life, she will be laid to rest on what would have been her centennial celebration, marking a poignant tribute to a remarkable journey.

She was the devoted wife of the late Samuel Zozula, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a beloved “Babi” to many. Lena was the daughter of the late John Pauchuk and Sophia Antoniuk, and the loving mother of the late John Zozula. She is survived by her son, Richard Zozula, who carries forward her legacy, along with her grandchildren, Leanna Zozula (Jean-Marc Assaad) and Lorraine Zozula (Jason Noel). Her great-grandchildren—Natasha Assaad, Luke Assaad, and Samuel Zozula Noel—will forever be touched by her warmth and kindness.

Lena’s presence brought comfort, laughter, and an enduring sense of family, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered not only for her quiet strength and unwavering devotion to her family but also for the gentle wisdom and kindness she shared with all.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Thursday, May 8, at 10:00 AM at Ste-Sophie Cathedral Orthodox Church, followed by her burial at Mount Royal Cemetery at noon.

Though she is no longer with us, her love remains, woven into the lives of those she leaves behind. In commemorating her, we celebrate not just the years she lived, but the lasting imprint of her love, support, and resilience.
