Obituary
Luigia Di Lillo (née Prioriello)
1942 - 2021
It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to Luigia (“Gina”) Di Lillo, née Prioriello, on July 6, 2021, precious wife of Rocco Di Lillo, sweet mother of Pasquale (Stefania), Marisa (Michael), Angela (Roly) and Patrizia (Chris), beloved by her grandchildren, Korina, Evita, Britney, Luca, Catarina and Akasha, and her sisters (Antonietta and Teresa) and brothers (Mario and Giovanni) and family members and friends she made during her wonderful life.
We keep in our memories her radiant smile, her enthusiasm for life, her strength and courage, but above all her love and tenderness for those she held dear.
Born in Bojano, Italy, Gina arrived in Canada with her parents and shortly after met her lifelong partner Rocco spending just shy of 61 years together. Gina was the social butterfly, always ready for a good conversation.
Traveling was a passion Gina shared with Rocco, travelling to the Caribbean where they often met up with friends made over the decades. Gina also took great joy in discovering her adopted country, but the greatest joy was traveling to Italy with her family, notably her grandchildren, where she took great pride in showing them where she and her husband were born and grew up.
We will celebrate Gina’s life on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Urgel Bourgie Athos funeral complex at 1255 avenue Beaumont, Mount Royal from 6 pm to 9 pm. On July 14, 2021 the church services will be held at the chapel of the Urgel Bourgie Athos funeral complex on avenue Beaumont at 10 am. Gina will be laid to rest at the memorial garden and funeral home of Urgel Bourgie, 2500 ave des Perron, Laval.
