Roberto Di Francesco
1963 - 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roberto Di Francesco, who left this world on Saturday, December 2, 2023, in Montreal, at the age of 60. Roberto fought valiantly against a long and arduous battle with cancer, demonstrating resilience and courage throughout his journey.
Born to Assunta Tamburrino and the late Giuseppe Di Francesco, Roberto was a loving and devoted husband to Gesualda Carbone and a cherished father to Gabriele (Jessica). Roberto's unwavering love and devotion to his family were the cornerstones of his life.
Hard working and deeply connected to his roots, Roberto's memory will be forever engraved in the hearts of those who knew and loved him across Argentina, Canada, and Italy. He leaves to mourn his brother Francesco (Monica), his mother-in-law Maria Niro (late Antonio Carbone), his brother- and sister-in-laws Filomena (Pietro), the late Giuseppe (Pina), Franco (Lina), and Marco (Angela), aunts and uncles, cousins, and numerous relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m., and on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at funeral complex Urgel Bourgie / Athos, located at 6700 Beaubien East, Montreal.
The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. at Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church, located at 7645 du Mans, Saint-Leonard, followed by the burial ceremony at Repos St-François-d’Assise, 6893 Sherbrooke East, Montreal.
The family would like to thank the oncology and intensive care departments, and especially Dr. Michel Palumbo, for their excellent care.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
