Suzanne Labonté

1965 - 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Suzanne Labonté on December 5th, 2024.

Suzanne was the most caring and giving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She leaves behind her two children, Sabrina and Matthew, her husband Bill, her sister Danielle and mother Madeleine, as well as many close friends. She was predeceased by her father, Claude.

Above all else, Suzanne will be remembered for her bubbly energy, passion for helping others and contagious happiness. Her joie de vivre and bright personality were never dimmed throughout her fierce and courageous 4 year battle with rare Leiomyosarcoma cancer.

Doing everything with passion and excitement, Suzanne loved to spend time laughing with her loved ones, helping those around her, cuddling with her beloved cat Bizoux, dancing to Fleetwood Mac tunes, hosting community running groups and supporting the youth in her community through her involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters West Island.

Suzanne's presence will be greatly missed by all those around her, however we find peace and comfort in the lasting memories we hold with her, and we encourage all family and friends to share pictures, videos and fond memories with Suzanne in this shared album that will create a lasting memory for all to remember her by.

In lieu of flowers, Suzanne and her family ask that you consider donating to a fund created in her memory that will contribute to creating a new youth initiative in her name. Together, this will help continue her legacy and the tireless work and passion she put into helping the youth in her community through her involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters West Island.

Donations can be made directly on our fundraising page, donate now.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, December 12th, from 6-9pm, as well as on Friday, December 13th at 2pm, followed by a celebration of life at 3pm, and a reception from 4-6pm.
