Isabel  Zigayer (Née Aziz)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Isabel.   Wife of the late George Zigayer Sr.  Beloved mother and mother-in-law of George Jr., Andrew, Carolyn and Billy Freedin.  Adored Grammy of Matthew, Joey, Lisa, Noah and Adam.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Eddy and the late Diana Aziz, the late Omar and Connie Aziz, the late Joe and Suheyla Aziz, the late Josie and the late Victor Massad.  Sister-in-law of the late Mary Zigayer Yared, the late Violet and the late Sam Barakett, the late Alyce and the late Frank Haddad. 

She was the treasured Auntie Izzy to many nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly.  Isabel was blessed with many wonderful cousins and lifelong friends whom she cherished. In addition, Isabel will be sadly missed by Nathalie Roussin and Jean-Fran­cois Mathieu, Erin and Ariel Levy, Justin and Sybil Freedin and their families.  She was loyal and devoted to all, especially her beloved St. George Church.

We extend our gratitude to Dr. C-O Basile, Dr. L-B Théberge, Sophie Morin (CLSC), Paula Habib (Nova) and St. Mary’s Hospital and Dr. P. Charghi for their tremendous care during Isabel’s illness. 

Visitation at St. George Orthodox Church, 555 Jean Talon East, Montreal, H2R 1T8, Wednesday, February 5 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, February 6 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. George Orthodox Church of Montreal would be appreciated.
