It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rima Khoury, widow of the late Fadel Kurban, former Honorary Consul of Greece in Aleppo.


Rima passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves behind her children William (Lara Asmar), Tania (Charbel Matta), and Ralph.


Téta Rima will be dearly missed by her beloved grandchildren Ella, Selena, Théo, and Liam.

Daughter of the late Saba Khoury and the late Marina Sodir, she leaves in mourning her brother Georges Khouri (Claudia Homsi) as well as the late Issam Khouri (Waed Azrak) and her sister Lina Khoury (the late Habib Artin).
Her sister-in-law Hélène Kurban (Georges Fallah).

Rima is also mourned by her uncle Jacques Sodir (Marlène Alti), as well as her cousins: Yanni Sodir and family, Rim Sodir and family, Patricia Sodir and family, the late Mona Ayoub and family, Magda Ayoub and family, Marina Ayoub, Mirna Ayoub and family, Maya Ayoub and family, Maha Kabbach and family, and Carole Kabbach.

Rima will be missed by many cousins, relatives, and friends in Lebanon, Syria, and Canada.


The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Antioch, located at 120 Gouin Blvd East, Montreal. The burial will follow at the Urgel Bourgie Cemetery, located at 2500 Ave. Des Perron, Laval.


The family will receive condolences on March 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Complex, located at 1255 Ave. Beaumont, Mont-Royal.


A donation for the repose of her soul to the Church of Our Lady of Antioch would be appreciated.
May her memory be eternal.
