Obituary
Patria Allego (née Quitevis)
1932 - 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patria Quitevis Allego, who peacefully left us on April 8, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on December 12, 1932, in Bais, Philippines, and lived a life full of joy, resilience, and dedication.
Patria immigrated to Montreal in 1971, where she pursued her passion for nursing, working in several hospitals until her retirement in 1997. Her professional career touched many lives, as she cared for patients with the same compassion and dedication that defined her character.
A woman of great vitality, Patria had a deep love for sports, particularly tennis, which she played regularly for many years. She also had a vibrant social life and found immense joy in attending Filipino association gatherings,
where she formed lasting friendships and connected with others in her community.
Patria continued to enjoy weekly sleepovers and family gatherings on the weekends with her grandchildren and their cousins, even after her health demanded a move to an assisted living facility.
After years of courageously enduring dialysis treatments, Patria knew it was time for her to rest. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family and caregivers.
Patria now joins her husband Dodong, and leaves behind her loving son Kennet, his wife Ingrid, and their two sons, Jordan and Ethan. She is also survived by her extended family in both the United States and the Philippines, all of whom she held dear in her heart.
We would like to express our heartfelt
gratitude to the dialysis team of the Lakeshore hospital for their dedicated care over the years. Special thanks are also extended to the staff at RI St. Raphael, particularly Antoniette, Raymond, Lisa, Mimose, Santhia, Paul, Nikiema, Crina, and Marie. We will forever be grateful for how you treated Patria with the utmost kindness, respect, and love, making her feel at home.
Patria will be fondly remembered for her warmth, strength, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A service for family and friends will be held on April 21st to celebrate her life at Kane Fetterly, followed by a small reception on-site.
