Lenford Augustus Nelson
1955 - 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lenford Augustus Nelson, affectionately known as “Lenny” on March 26, 2025, at the age of sixty-nine (69), following a brief illness.
Born on December 24, 1955, in Park Hill, St. Vincent and the Grenadines to Florence Nelson and Simon Hamilton.
Lenny was adopted at a very early age by Mildred Robertha Abraham of Byera Village, where he was raised surrounded by love and the security of family.
As an adult, Lenny moved to Orange Hill where he practiced farming and lived off the land while raising his children.
On September 30, 1994, Lenny immigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada where he joined his family that he grew up with. Many years later, he moved to Montréal, Québec where he met and married the love of his life Virginia Lawrence on July 16, 2005.
Lenny will be remembered for his kindness, love of reggae music and his infectious smile that greeted everyone.
Lenny leaves behind his wife Virginia Lawrence Nelson, daughters Monique Nelson, Mignonne McDonald, Delice Roberts, sons Lenford McDonald and Adanis Lawrence, sisters Sandra Horne, Coleen Horne, Faye Horne, Francis Nelson, Helen Nelson, Vanessa Nelson, Jasmine Nelson, Lydia Nelson, Ansonia Arrington, Sandra Arrington, Juliet Culzac, Jennifer Hull Williams, brothers John (Curtis) Horne, Randolph Nelson, Peter Arrington, grandchildren Nelline Williams, Bassyann McDonald, Jerol McDonald, Leonic McDonald, Christian Gooding, Bassie Hannah McDonald, Mikhail Hamilton, Talice Roberts, Alicia McDonald, great-grandchildren Paige, Jamanie, Leyron, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, friends Peter Cambone & Family (Oakville Ontario), Reginald (Reggie) Barnwell & Family (Oakville Ontario), Vasha Pompey of Chester, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Elizabeth (Euchrist) Boyea of Byera, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
A Celebration of Lenny's life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm.

Visitation/Viewing will take place from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the start of the ceremony.
Family and friends are welcome to join us as we celebrate the remarkable life he led and the love he shared with so many.
Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
