It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. John Nicolopoulos on May 19, 2024 in Montreal. He was the beloved husband of Helen Gouvousis Nicolopoulos.

John was the rock of his family and a guiding light and force to all those who loved him. He was the best husband to his love of 46 years. They met as teenagers and have been inseparable ever since, building a beautiful life together filled with family, travel, and an abundance of love. They took pleasure in all of life’s moments together.
His kind, playful and fun-loving nature was felt by all those who crossed his path. He was hard-working and dependable, and dedicated to providing a beautiful life to his family. He always embraced the joys of life; exploring, learning and a good meal!

A man of quiet strength, John was the joyful center of his family and a true gentleman. His time was cut too short. He will be truly missed.
His wife, children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. John’s legacy will live on through them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving daughters Tina (Spiro) and Pat (Jamie), and his cherished grandchildren Leonardo, Stefano, Dean and Calia.

He is also survived by his brothers Kosta (Ronda) and Nick (Nancy), sister-in-law Litsa (late Dimitri), nephews and nieces Angie, Pat, Thano, Bobby, Tommy and Dean, as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on May 22, 2024 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie / Athos Funeral Complex, 1255 Beaumont Ave. in Montreal.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on May 23, 2024 starting at 11 a.m. at St. George's Cathedral, 2455 chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine. Interment will follow at Urgel Bourgie Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
