1939 - 2022

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Antoinette Pensato (Violo), affectionately known as Tina, at the age of 82, on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in Montreal. She was the loving mother to Amelia (Lino Saputo) and Mary (Denis Singleton), and devoted Nana to her grandchildren Emanuele (Emilie), Giordano (Elle) and Brendan.

Tina is also survived by her siblings, Lina Pellerin (late Malcolm), Michel Pensato (Sylvie) and her brother-in-law Vittorio Violo (Monique). She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. She now joins her loving husband Silvio in his eternal resting place.

Tina will forever be remembered for her gentle, selfless ways and especially for being first on the dance floor.

The family wishes to thank her dedicated caregivers for providing happier days prior to her passing.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Urgel Bourgie / Athos, 1255 Beaumont Ave, Mount Royal, Quebec, H3P 3J1. A mass celebrating her life will be held on Monday, July 25, 11 a.m. at the same location, followed by a burial at Notre-Dame-Des-Neiges Cemetery (Esther Blondin Mausoleum).

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Antoinette Pensato (Violo) Memorial Fund for the Dementia Education Program at McGill University in gratitude for their invaluable guidance and support over the years.
